State Mountain Bike Championships (J-2nd/A-1st)

4 Races in 3 days. So I really wanted to win the Arctic Valley HC and everything else would be a bonus. So I won the climb on Cross Bike. Then for the Short Track I took my cross bike with me just to see how tough the course would be. The course was a Cross course for sure. I also won that race. Next there was a TT that was not marked very well. But finished in the top 5. Today was a 8mile loop and we did 3 laps. I finished 3rd today in 1:58:00. So I finished 2nd Overall with 2 stage wins. I also was 3rd in Points for the Kincaid Series. Totally Crazy. Not to bad for a Roadie.
Amber won the Women's Expert series for Overall and for Points. We make a good team. Anchorage to Seward with the Kids. Then Dinner and Sea Life Center. Should be lots of Fun. I might try the Up and Over. Not sure, Yet. Cross Starts in to 2 weeks.

We got Mtn Bike Races this week.

Should be wet and Muddy.

Eagle River Tri

Amber did the ERT on Sunday. She had a good Race. She finished 2nd about 40 sec, behind Shannon. It was on the swim were she lost her time. She had the 2nd fastest bike split. But she ran a 20:30 and had the fastest run split. You know what Amber will be doing lots of this winter. SWIMMING.
The top 4 women and mens winner all took the wrong turn around. They changed the course and made it longer than the old course. There were also some mess ups on the Swim also. They all got a 2 min penalty. What a mess.

Triple HillClimb - (1st)

I finished up the last Hillclimb of the season in style. I wanted to ride a smart, but a fast race. My goal was to set a solid effort up Potter and see who was still there. It was Daniel and Myself. I got to the top first and he caught me at about the forth corner. That was the goal.
We rode up Rabbit Creek together. Heading up Clarks I got alittle bit of a Gap. Then Daniel caught me at the Bottom. We rode together to the base of Glen Alps and then it seperated for the last time. I felt really good today. I never felt that I was ever in any diffculty. It was a good feeling. My teammate Daniel finished 2nd. (The Elevation Gain is 3200ft- in 56:00 Min.)
Here comes Cross Season in 2 weeks. Next week is the Mtn. Bike Champships.
Amber has Eagle River Tri. tommorow. She is seeded #2.

Winter Race Season.

Getting Ready for Winter Race Season. A customer took this photo of the Ti 9zero7 he's building. I'm building up a pair of 100mm and I'm trying to make them light for my Ti Bike. Eric at Epic Designs are building some bags for us. Black Sheep's building us forks and a few racks.

Were going to go do the Arrowhead 135 in Minnesota. Should be cold.

Stage 5 (Tour Done)

The Tour is Done. After trying to race it and Organize it. I'm glad its over. I finished 6th Overall. I had a good RR. I felt really strong and made a couple of different breaks. The one race that I suffered in was the TT. Thats the race that took me out of it. I'll be riding the TT bike alot in the winter.
Amber had a great race. She got all the time bonuses and won the stage sprint for the win. She almost moved into 2nd by 6 sec. So close.
It also rained that last day. Surprise. I think I might do the Triple Hillclimb. Amber has Eagle River TRI on Sunday. We'll see how it goes.

Stage 3 and 4

Lots of up and downs. Amber and I both had bad TT's in the morning. But, turned it around on the Hill Climb. Amber finished the TT in 3rd but lost a 1 min. to her competition. She turned around on the HC and got second and got sometime back.
I had a really bad TT finishing far behind the leaders. I had a good Hillclimb. I finished 2nd and also got sometime back. We have a long RR tomorrow Morning. It still close behind the top 5. Should be interesting.

Stage - 2 (Lots of Rain and Wind)

It was raining and the wind was blowing in all directions. John Lackey got the win in our group. There was a 5 man break. It stayed away. I finished in the group. Amber finished in her group and got a few time bonuses (6 Sec). I'll update tomorrow. I bet it rains.
The Tour will be moved up to July. I promise.

Tour of Anchorage - Day 1

Well, it went just how I thought it would. It was kinda of a Big Guy race. I finished 5th (11:34), 30 Seconds behind my teammate Daniel Folmar. He's a big strong guy.
We have 3 teammates in the top 5. So, that means we'll mark all the moves tommorrow. So we can keep are guys in front. Weather was rough. Raining and a pretty good side wind.
Amber Killed it. She won her race in a fast time of 12:43.
Day 1 Done. Hope it stops Raining.

Last Weekend!!

Here's a few pictures from the last weekend. Amber did the Alaska State Triathlon Championship last weekend and she was 3rd women and 8th Overall Male and Female. She had a great Bike and Run. But her swim was pretty rough. She did Great.

They will arrive at in the shop Mid Sept. They will be Anodized Black, with laser etching for the Decals.
