Amber's Eklutna and Fighting Allergies

Amber had he Eklutna Challenge this weekend. She had a smoking run at 18:00 for a 5k. First women in on the run. She got on the bike and she was gone. At the turn around she still had about 1min on the next women. Heading back with about 2 miles to go. She made a wrong turn and down the trial. She lost around 2 mins. So she went from 1st to 3rd. She had a great race. Her run is super fast. Heres the Results.

Potter Valley TT

We'll 8:01 was the best time I have done in the Time trial Format on Potter. It was good enough for the win. My old P.R. was 8:22. Adam Miller was second at 8:27. That"s a Hat Trick.

Spring Stage Race (Broken Record #1)

We had a Stage Race this weekend. It went really well. My form is going really good. First Stage was a 8 mile Hillclimb (Hiland Road). I came in first and broke the course record by 1:05. I had the overall lead. Good race.
The second race was on Saturday morning at Elmendorf. It was a Crit. It went good. I did lots of work in the front driving pace. But, Daniel attacked and John Lackey went and got a pretty good gap and made up time on me. We didn't work together very well as a team. John took over the lead and Daniel moved up to 5th. I went to second by 15sec.
The third stage was Sturday afternoon. It was a 15 mile Time Trial. I went as hard as I could but the wind did a number on me. It was a brutal head wind for 60% of the race. Daniel rode a great race winning the TT and beating me by 17 seconds on the overall to take second. I came in 4th in the TT. Heres the results- http://www.chainreactioncycles.us/ABC/ABC.htm
Potter Valley TT is the next race to recover for. Its on Tuesday. Amber has her big race on Sunday (Gold Nugget Tri).

Lots Happening!!

Alot has happened around the home and at the Races. First Dara is crawling all over the place and getting into everything. The girls just love each other so much.
We had a Road Race at Kincaid Loop on Saturday. It went pretty good. Finished strong and did alot of attacks through the race. We had a accident on lap 6. Tony Turrini front wheel slid out and he hit the pavement. He broke the top of his femur into 10-12 pieces. He had surgery that night around 12:00am. It went good. They put it back and will see how it goes together. Get well soon.
Amber did the Bike for women on Sunday. It was a solid effort. She finished 4th out of 500. Its the same course that the Gold Nugget Tri will be racing on.
This weekend we have the Spring Stage Race. Starts on Friday with a tough hill climb with Hilland Road. Saturday Morning Crit and a Time Trial on base. Well see how it goes.
